Interlude was founded in 2016 with a simple goal: to give free music education to anyone who needed it. Since then, Interlude has expanded to give music lessons to a wide variety of instruments and to give mentorship and leadership opportunities to the high school students who participate in our programs. 




Executive Director of Operations

Zach is currently senior studying at Northwood High School. He has been playing viola for the past 7 years and has participated in orchestras such as the NAfME All-National Symphony Orchestra, MFA Honor Orchestra of America, HPS Honor Orchestra, and California All-State Symphony and String Orchestras. Outside of orchestral work, Zach hopes to continue to inspire young musicians through performing at charity concerts or organizing free lessons and performances

(Kevin) Moon

Director of Finances

Kevin is currently a senior studying at Northwood High School. He has played the piano for the last 9 years and has participated in various piano competitions including SYMF.  Kevin is also the president of Northwood High School’s Smile Train, another 501(C)(3) that aims to use music to raise awareness for charitable causes, specifically cleft lip. Outside of school, he is also an avid supporter of raising awareness for Korean culture.



Director of Operations

Kevin Lu is currently a sophomore at Portola High School. He has been playing the violin for 8 years and has participated in the California All Southern, All State Orchestra, and the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra.  Outside of school, he is also an intern for his districts Assemblyman and plays at a multitude of charity/fundraising events for local and statewide politicians. 



Marketing & Outreach

Nathaniel is currently senior studying at Northwood High School. He has been a part of various choirs such as the 2018 San Fransisco and 2020 Orlando Northwood High School Tour Chorus and has performed at various venues such as the Mondavi Winery and the World Disney Resort. Aside from music, he plans on pursuing a career in the field of education in which he hopes to inspire others to make the world a better place.
