Kevin Liu

Kevin Lu is the Advisor of Interlude Musical Outreach.


Kevin joined the Interlude team in 2019 as the Chief Operating Officer. He has been involved in various projects operations, most notably with Interlude’s first-ever recording project starring NBC’s The Voice semi-finalist, Jej Vinson, and professional vocalist, Naomi Turner. He also leads community engagement and partnership projects between Interlude and other non-profit organizations, helping grow music education even during COVID-19.

Kevin is currently a freshman at the University of Pennsylvania. He served as principal of Portola’s Symphonic Orchestra in the past years and participated in ensembles such as the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra, California All-State Orchestra, and has served as concertmaster of the California All-Southern Orchestra. He has debuted as a soloist in Carnegie Hall, NY, and was invited to play alongside the Fresno Summer Orchestra and Opera Academy at Disney Concert Hall, LA. He has also won numerous violin competitions including 1st place at the American String Teachers Association LA Finals, where he advanced to the state competition. Kevin currently studies under Iryna Krechkovsky. 

 

Aside from music, Kevin is very involved in the world of VC and politics. He has interned under both Congresswoman Mimi Walters and Assemblyman Steven Choi as well as a few VC firms and studios in the Silicon Valley area. Kevin was also a member of the Portola High School varsity golf team.
